Yarra Council Banco mass meeting report-back

Last night’s Council’s-run public meeting on the Banco development was a great success for the community. 200+ locals piled into Collingwood Town Hall past an excellent Socialist Party stall and banner, and reading the SP leaflet on the issue at hand.

Lebanon: Hariri’s assassination triggers crisis

The mid-February assassination of the former Lebanese Prime Minister, Rafik Hariri, has plunged Lebanon into crisis. It led to hundreds of thousands protesting on the streets of Beirut and, on 8 March, possibly up to a million demonstrating against US, Israeli, and French interference in Lebanon.
