This Wednesday July 27 the Melbourne Branch of SP will host a public meeting - The lessons of the Eliott dispute. Both Kerin and Main were witnesses at the trial of Melbourne boss Anthony Eliott who violently drove a truck through a picket line nearly killing workers. Eliott ended up getting off without even a slap on the wrist! This meeting will discuss all the political, legal and organisational issues surrounding the dispute. (more…)

SP is urging all of our supporters to attend the rally organised by the Yarra Campaign Against the Tunnel (YCAT). YCAT was formed to help organise the campaign against the Victorian State Government’s plans to build a tunnel linking the Eastern Freeway with Melbourne’s western suburbs. (more…)

The Workers Party in New Zealand is holding their annual Marxism conference from May 30th - June 1st. Over the course of the weekend there will be a number of interesting talks and discussions.
