Congratulations to all the buskers and supporters (including SP members) who attended the busk-in today in Brunswick St, Fitzroy, Melbourne. The lively event was organised by the Socialist Party and local buskers. They all agreed that Yarra Council should immediately accept the report tabled 2 weeks ago and unfortunately shelved by a joint ALP-Green vote. The report called for the Council to once again issue permits to buskers in set areas of Yarra.



One busker presented a petition from traders on Smith and Brunswick Sts, supporting busking. This will, in turn, be presented to Yarra Council at its December meeting.
