I joined the Socialist Party because I wanted to be involved in an organisation that puts the needs of the working class before those of the rich. Since joining I have found a place where my opinions are respected.

In the Socialist Party I can discuss ideas openly with others who feel that there is something inherently wrong with a society that is not run for the majority of people but for the gain of the few.

We live in one of the richest countries in the world yet there are still people who have no home. We have children who go to run down schools with teachers who are underpaid. These things are real and they happen every day.

I want to live in a world where all of our schools are run for the majority and not just for a privileged few. Education should be right for all regardless of gender, race or class. I joined the Socialist Party so I that I could work towards making this happen.

If you want to be part of the struggle for a better society then I would encourage you to join the Socialist Party as well. You will lose nothing by coming along to see what it is all about. Believe me it was one of the best decisions of my life.
