Socialism 2007: Making Socialism Relevant

SP is hosting Socialism 2007 on the weekend of 3th/4th March. It will be a weekend of discussion and debate over the major issues facing workers and young people here and internationally.

The agenda and speakers, including guests from Germany, NSW, New Zealand and South Australia, takes up all the important issues of the day. The venue will be Trades Hall Bar, 54 Victoria St, Carlton South.

Stephen is the only elected socialist in Australia, as Councillor for Fitzroy, Collingwood, Abbotsford, Clifton Hill, South Fairfield and Alphington.

1pm: Chavez’s Venezuela and the struggle for socialism with the opening talk from Claus Ludwig, leading German socialist and Councillor for Cologne for our sister party in Germany.

5pm: DVD from Ireland: The victory of the Gama workers - Turkish building workers who won a fight for backpay and captured the hearts of Irish workers.
